Pakshipathalam



Pakshipathalam Wayanad is situated seven kilometers northeast of Thirunelli. It is at a distance of about thirty two kilometers from Mananthavady and sixty kilometers far from Kalpetta. Pakshipathalam is situated at an altitude of 1740 meters above mean sea level. In the woody and picturesque Wayanad, Pakshipathalam is at a high altitude and is a calm and serene place.

Special permission given by forest department is required to visit Pakshipathalam. The closest railway station to Pakshipathalam is Kozhikode railway station. For air travelers, Karipur International Airport is the nearest airport located at 23 km from Kozhikode town. Pakshipathalam is an excellent tourist spot for ornithologists and nature lovers. You can spot variety of beautiful birds in this location.
